01

Attention is not the same as buying intent

An ad can earn views, likes and compliments while attracting people who were never likely to buy. The creative may entertain without making the offer, audience or next action clear. Judge the opening hook and the commercial message separately. A strong hook earns the next second. The rest of the ad must help the right person understand why the offer matters now.

02

The offer may not be strong enough

Media cannot repair an unclear or uncompetitive offer. Customers need to understand what they receive, who it is for, why it is credible and what makes acting worthwhile. Before changing targeting, test whether the offer can be explained simply. Look for friction around price, delivery, availability, trust, commitment and how quickly someone receives a response.

03

The journey breaks after the click

The landing page or WhatsApp conversation must continue the promise made in the ad. Different wording, missing details, slow pages, confusing forms or an unprepared sales response create a gap between interest and action. Google Ads guidance emphasizes alignment between the ad, keyword and landing page. The same principle applies across platforms: the next step should feel like a continuation, not a new argument.

04

Weak measurement teaches the wrong lesson

If tracking records clicks but not qualified leads, booked calls or sales, optimization becomes shallow. Agree on the primary conversion, verify the technical event and keep a simple way to label lead quality. For calls and WhatsApp, operational discipline matters. Record where the inquiry came from, whether it was relevant and what happened next. Otherwise the advertising platform sees only part of the outcome.

05

Test complete hypotheses

Changing the headline, audience, budget and landing page at the same time makes improvement difficult to explain. Test a clear hypothesis, protect enough time and budget for learning, and document the result. A useful review asks: Did we reach the intended people? Did the creative communicate the offer? Did the next step match? Did the team follow up? Did measurement capture the outcome? Conversion improves when the whole system answers yes.
